KMGBC holds monthly board meetings on the 3rd Monday of the month at 5:30pm at KMHS Laser Room. Active members in good standing of KMGBC are welcome to attend board meetings. Please contact the board Secretary to confirm the meeting time and location.  

Advisory Board members are expected to make a commitment to attend all monthly board meetings.  Board positions are a two-year commitment from April 1 (or on the date of the application being accepted) through March 31st of that two-year term.  All applications will be reviewed and voted on by the current board members.  Thank you very much for your interest in our program.  We can't run this Club without great volunteers, so in order to show appreciation for the time and dedication of our volunteers we offer a FREE spirit wear item for all board members and coaches every year.  Check out the Board positions and let us know if you'd be interested in learning more about any of them!

Board Terms are as follows: 

April 1st of Odd Years (2021, 2023, 2025, etc…) for: League Director, Treasurer, and Secretary

April 1st of Even Years (2020, 2022, and 2024, etc…) for Program Director, Coaching Director, Sweetheart Tournament Director,  Equipment Director.

Program Director

• A parent, coach, or community member. Voting member
• Organization and leadership of board meetings
• Manage all the financial aspects of the program
• Present an annual budget
• Provide direction and oversight for smooth operation of club through contact with directors of the various disciplines/activities o Provide leadership and direction for the growth and success of the club
• Initial parent contact for grievances

Secretary

• A parent, coach, or community member. Voting member
• Assist the Program Director as needed
• Document Board meeting minutes.
• Report the minutes from the prior meeting
• Maintain a complete and ongoing inventory of all equipment for the  Club.
• Responsible for damage inspection, repair/replacement of inventory, and ordering of all team equipment including basketballs, coaches boards, pumps, training aids, & first aid kits; also responsible for the initial distribution and final collection of coaches' bags 
• Research and recommend new uniforms
• Research, coordinate, order and distribute spirit wear for the club
• Work with Community Education for the proper organization/storage of all equipment.
• Work with Coaching Director in ordering all tryout equipment and materials

Treasurer

• A parent, coach, or community member. Voting member
• Work with Program Director and the board to set an annual budget and report monthly and fiscal year-end financial status
• Work with the Sweetheart Tournament Director on controlling and reconciling revenue & expenses of the Tournament
• Work with the Lake Country League Director on controlling and reconciling league revenue and expenses
• Provide a monthly financial report.

Sweetheart Tournament Director

• A non-coach parent or community member. Voting member
• Plan, promote, coordinate and administer all aspects of the Sweetheart Tournament.
• Oversee the Concessions Coordinator position
• Work with the Treasurer on controlling and reconciling revenue & expenses of the Tournament.

League Director

• A non-coach parent or community member. Voting position
• Director of LCGBA  league
• Liaison for the YGSBL league
• Oversees the league each week 
• Oversees the concession stand coordinator and staff. (Concession stand coordinator is a paid position.)
• Oversees referee coordinator.
• Organize teams and scheduling for the LCGBA.
• Keep league standings.
• Update and maintain LCGBA page on the website
• Works with treasurer on financials for leagues.
• This is a paid position

Coaching Director/Tryout Coordinator

• Ideally, a non-coach non-parent community member. Voting member
• Locate/recruit the best available coaches for our club
• Ensure the overall philosophy of the club is effectively communicated and followed by the coaches.
• Direct the coaching interviews & selection committee for these interviews
• Work with HS coaches to provide important training (off-season & in-season)
• Organize the comprehensive pre-season coach meeting
• Maintain a high level of visibility with coaches and parents to facilitate open communication, consulting, and evaluation role with coaches during the season
• Oversee open gym operations
• Work with the Board when dealing with parent grievances.
• Organize tryouts including securing gym space/time
• Development of evaluation/tryout forms
• Ensure the highest level of impartiality in the tryout process and the selection of tryout evaluators
• Provide Comm Ed Director with tryout results for Board approval and assist in the distribution of selections/cuts to players.
• Collection of all coach and player evaluation forms
• Given the large time commitment necessary, this is a paid position.

Club Events Director

• A parent, non-parent, non-coach. Voting member
• Provide assistance to families of the club as requested
• Oversees all club activities and events
• Trains and works with Team Managers as necessary on all administrative items
• Volunteer coordinator for Sweetheart Tourney & LCGBA; work with Team Managers on tracking required club family volunteer hours

Community Education Director

• Liaison between KMGBC and Community Ed
• Kelly Donaldson. Voting member

High School Girls Varsity Basketball Coach

• Coach Adam Stranc. Voting member

Public Relations/Social Media Specialist 

• A parent, non-parent, non-coach.  Non-Voting member
• Take photographs at club events (HOCO, Youth Night, Sweetheart Tourney, Badger and Marquette game club nights, Banquet)
• Manage the Club's social media accounts
